The huge success of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in, e.g., computer vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and gaming has triggered great interest in the area of wireless communications and networking. Driving the trend on AI/ML for wireless is the availability of data, computing power, and open-source platforms, while more and more successful stories are reported in the literature. This panel is focused on the application of AI/ML for mobility, sensing and networking problems, with in-depth discussions of motivations, unique challenges, key enablers, research opportunities, and future prospects.
